The Timmins Fire Department

Red and white fire truckThe Timmins Fire Department has a total of 35 full-time firefighters, including 28 on suppression, 3 on fire prevention, 1 Training Officer, 1 Office Manager, 1 Fire Chief, 1 Deputy Chief and147 volunteer firefighters in 6 departments.  The Timmins Fire Department provides protection from fire, life-threatening emergencies and dangerous conditions, through a team approach in regards to fire protection, fire prevention and public education.

Ontario Provincial Police

Ontario Provinical Police cruiserThe Ontario Provincial Police sponsors and is involved in many crime prevention programs. Some of these include: Neighbourhood Watch, Cottage Watch, SKI ID and BIKE ID (anti-theft programs), Traveling Alone for Women, Anti-Shoplifting programs, Robbery Prevention, Values, Influences and Peers Program (grade 6 program), D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education), and P.A.L., a Crime Watch program in conjunction with Union Gas.
