Timmins Symphony Orchestra
Timmins is a cultural centre which boasts the renowned Timmins Symphony Orchestra and three theatre groups in the community. There is an annual Kiwanis Music Festival which features the talented children of the community.
The Timmins Symphony creates quality symphonic and choral music and educates musicians of all ages through our symphony orchestra, music school, choir and performance programs in our northern community. As a community supported organization, we value accessibility, inclusiveness and fiscal responsibility.
Take Two Theatre has been bringing enjoyable entertainment to the Timmins area for over 17 years.
Curtain Call is a group of local people who perform various theatrical productions in the Timmins area. Although they have no set dates which they abide by, they usually stage their productions at Timmins High and Vocational School auditorium.
Les Maringouins du Nord is a francophone theatre group which is associated with Centre Culturel La Ronde which performs two plays a year. Most of the productions are original plays written by the members. (705) 268-7817.
The community maintains seven dance academies who perform their techniques of various art forms in performances every year to the community.
